Work With Us

This page will tell you about how we can work together on your research project and gives a flavour of our previous work. Since 2001 we have worked with hundreds of academic researchers, from all over the world, to support research and research impact.

Primarily we:

Lay digital outputs

If you are wondering how to increase the impact of your research, the team at The Dipex Charity can help make sure your work continues to benefit society, long after the funding runs out. Our friendly team is experienced and passionate about making sure the public has access to research.

By working with us, you can benefit from our reach and impact. The research outputs that appear on our websites are used by millions of people each year for personal use, teaching and training. Our user feedback surveys show that we help the public feel better informed, better prepared and reassured, not to mention less alone in what they are going through.

The resources are also used in health service improvement, schools, medical education and other forms of professional training. Our new subscription service for professionals ensures that more of our resources are being used in teaching than ever before.

We aim to keep all resources available beyond the funded period of a research project. In fact, many of our resources have outlived the original project funding by up to 10 years or more!

Choosing your lay output

It is important to us that all resources are made for and with the intended audience. We encourage researchers to work with your PPI group to identify what kind of output is best suited to the audience.

Your resource need not look like the other resources on healthtalk.org and socialcaretalk.org. You may decide that the most suitable output is a single video, animation, article, infographic, photo gallery, report, podcast or dedicated website. As well as working with research, we have skills and experience in:

  • Video production including filming and editing, training videos, ‘catalyst’ films, animated explainer videos for professionals and the public.
  • Audio production including podcasts
  • Copywriting
  • Design (reports, logos etc.)
  • Developing and managing websites.

Test websites or apps for research

If your research involves testing a digital intervention or resource, we can help. We have experience building and project managing the development of websites and apps to use in research studies.

Online focus groups and other forms of digital data collection

We have worked on several studies providing platforms and technical support for online qualitative data collection. Online focus groups have provided a rich source of data, as have bespoke social networks.
